Sorry to hear that people, typically in today's short-sighted world, are more concerned with inclusion appearances rather than actually listening to people's individual needs.
Thank you!! I'm happy to report that they were genuinely accommodating, willing to print everything out for me and have it waiting when I got there. Sadly, I had to rescind my place at AWP for unrelated reasons (far, far too expensive without funding, which I can't get from my academic institution because they only give out Conference travel grants once per grad student and I got mine last March), but it's a relief to know that, if I had money to burn, I *could* go without issue. (What you say about "inclusion appearances" still stands, though, as this policy makes ZERO SENSE.)
